James Duffy

James is an environmental scientist using remote sensing and spatial analysis techniques to monitor environmental change, with broad interests in mapping, coding, playing with and visualising spatial data. James originally joined FoAM Kernow (now called Then Try This) in 2018 on secondment from his PhD. He then became a part time research fellow at the University of Exeter, and part time at FoAM, where he helped to modify the Sonic Kayaks to allow people with visual impairments to kayak independently, guided by geolocated sounds.
