Poly Pop Up - Woven Robots (& Khipu)
Play with woven robots, and learn how to send messages with knots.
Led by the local non-profit organisation, Then Try This, this creative activity explores how digital technology might not be as ‘new’ as we think… We'll be learning about Andean/Inca knotted string records called "Khipu". Make your own secret message to take home, and play with walking robots made from braided textiles which you can control with more knots!
This workshop looks across and back at different cultures to explore the meaning of technology - with no screens involved.
